The second week of June, we took a week long trip to Oklahoma and Texas. We first drove to Muldrow on Tuesday to spend a couple of days with Kayla, Cody, and baby Ella. We hadn't seen her in a few weeks since she had been born. It's amazing how much babies change in the first few weeks! She had gotten so big, and we had so much fun holding her. It's been such a blessing for Phillip and I getting to become an Aunt and Uncle for the first time. I wish we could see the more often, but I guess face time and skyping will have to do in between times!
Brody was a trooper on the eight hour drive. I had to take a picture of him taking a nap because he looked so sweet. Even though it's a long trip, he did great playing with his toys, reading books, playing ipad games, and watching movies.
We got some good baby Ella time when we got there! I didn't want to put her down she's just so sweet!
Look at that adorable face!
Proud Uncle and Aunt!
Kayla is such a good mom and has done a great job with Ella so far.
Brody was excited to see them!
Cody let Brody wear his motorcycle helmet and take a ride with him.

That evening we met up with the Bonner's for dinner. It was so good to get to see them and spend time with Marley. She's such a doll baby! They were kind enough to let us spend the night with them that night. We had a great time getting to catch up with them.
Brody thought Josh was Bob the Builder :)
Wednesday, Brody and Phillip went fishing for the first time together in Kayla and Cody's neighborhood pond. They didn't catch anything but had a good time.
That afternoon we drove a couple of hours to Oklahoma City to see Jamie and Cal. We went to OU Medical Center and saw where Jamie works and got to meet a few of her co workers. We also got to see Cal's new office. It was so good to get to see them.
Brody loves his Uncle Cal so much.
Playing ball with Cal in front of their house.
That night Jamie was sweet enough to have our cousins Hayley, her husband Casey, Stephanie and her husband Renner, for desserts to celebrate Phillip's birthday a little early. It was so good to see them all. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of that!
The next day on Thursday, we went with Jamie and Cal to the Stockyards to eat at the Cattleman's Steakhouse for breakfast. They specialize in steak and eggs for breakfast, so that's what Jamie, Cal and Phillip got. Brody and I split pancakes, bacon and eggs. It was delicious, and we had a great time together before we had to hit the road.
Passing this sign is always exciting! It was good to be "home."
Of course the first thing Brody wanted to do when he got to Poppy and Marmie's is ride on the "tractor."
After getting really hot doing that, they ran through the sprinkler together. It was so cute! Brody was screaming and giggling the whole time. They are big buddies :)
Saturday morning we went to the downtown Waco Farmer's Market. It was a lot of fun!
After the Farmer's Market, Phillip and I met up with Emily and Spencer for lunch at Ninfa's. It was so good to see them, and to see Emily's growing belly! She is expecting a baby in September.
That night we celebrated Father's Day with Dad and Phillip.
We drove back early Sunday morning, I had to be back by Monday morning for an appointment. It's always hard to leave because I just love Waco so much and just Texas overall, and of course love being together with my parents. We also enjoyed getting to visit with both sister's and their families. It was such a great trip, and we can't wait to go back soon!
