Brody 21-22 months

    Brody turned 22 months on May 26. He is just my little pride and joy. My heart could just burst sometimes with how much I love my little guy. Here are a few recent pictures.
   He is just all boy all the time. He loves anything with a steering wheel. He loves trucks, cars, airplanes, motorcycles, and points them out whenever he sees them. He also likes any kind of ball, footballs, baseballs, any kind of ball. He is such a fearless little guy. We have been having a lot of fun swimming this summer. He just jumps right in... well when he wants to. That's Brody's personality, he does what he wants when he wants to. He is into sword fighting with sticks, digging in the dirt, and always enjoying getting dirty. One of my favorite things about him is that he loves to help. Anything I am doing, he comes behind me and wants to help me. He tries to help me sweep, load the dishwasher, scrub the shower etc. He really loves to help his Daddy too. It is so sweet to see them interact together, Phillip is great with letting Brody help him. He also loves wrestling with Phillip. They always rough house when Phillip gets home from work. One of Brody's favorite things to do with his Daddy is ride on his back.
      He has become a little bit pickier of an eater lately. For breakfast he usually has either Greek yogurt, waffles, or a breakfast bar. He still loves fruit, but has gotten a lot pickier about vegetables, so we are trying to dip them in ranch dressing to get him to eat them. He likes chicken, cheese, veggie straws, baby carrots, apples, grapes, doesn't like french fries, loves dipping chips in salsa, any Mexican food and Italian food.
      Right now his bedtime is 8 p.m. and he sleeps until 7-8 a.m. He wears size 24 month clothes and a size 7, almost an 8 shoe. He weighs 28 pounds.
    He makes my heart melt when I walk in the door from being gone and he gets so excited and runs into my arms saying, " Mamma! Mamma!" I just love it, it's the best part of my day. Brody brightens my day with his sweet, fun loving personality all the time. He just loves so many things in life. He gets excited and happy about little things. He makes me laugh and smile all the time in a day. I just am so thankful to be able to spend my days with him. Now if time would just slow down! I can't believe that he is almost two!
   
   

Brody 18-20 months

   Brody turned 20 months old on April 26th. I am in awe of how much he changes on a weekly and monthly basis. He is looking more and more like a little boy. He is just such a neat little boy and I seriously can't get enough of him.

     Brody is fearless, enjoys little things, is curious about everything, is very sweet and loving towards babies and kid's that are upset. He is very strong willed, determined, and headstrong. We are working daily on channeling these qualities into positive things. He loves wrestling with his Daddy, "sword fighting" in the backyard with sticks, playing in the dirt, helping me do house work ( his favorites are trying to sweep the floors and push the vacuum cleaner), loves to read whether by himself or with us, is obsessed with steering wheels and driving anything, hates to have his shoes on in the car, sometimes when hugging us will pat us on the back. He loves to snuggle and give kisses and hugs. His favorite words are Mamma, Dadda, Asher ( these are his good friends), Price, Reid, Popsicle, Banana, Apple, Cookie, Elmo, Mickey, etc. He is now getting to the point where he repeats quite a few words when we ask him too.

    He loves eating popsicles, cookies, fruit, cheerios, cheez it's,veggie chips, baby carrots, cheerios, Italian food, dipping food in dip such as chips in salsa, french fries in ketchup, etc. He drinks crystal light, water, and sweet acidophilus milk ( we switched him to that from regular whole milk because it was upsetting his stomach), and when we go to restaurants he usually gets apple juice ( which he loves). His favorite shows are Sesame Street ( favorite character is Elmo), Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Super Why. We bought his first Disney movie besides Mickey Mouse which is Toy Story. He seems to really like it! His favorite things to play with include; his kitchen, baseball foam bat and plastic balls, any ride on toy, anything he can climb, swing, or slide on, and he absolutely loves the water.
 
    His bedtime is 7-8, we usually start the going to bed process right around 7. He still usually sleeps close to 12 hours. We have been fortunate that he has always been a great sleeper. His naps around anywhere from an hour and a half to three hours, usually somewhere in between. He's less consistent about the length of those. He is 27 pounds, 30 inches long, wears 18-24 month clothes, size 7 shoe, almost size 8.
 
    Brody, we love you so much and are enjoying watching you grow and change everyday. You are a larger than life little boy.  Your smile lights up a room and is contagious, so is your sweet laugh which is music to our ears. We love your personality how you are fearless and are all boy. You always keep us on our toes. You are at such a fun age where you are really enjoying things that we do like the zoo, playground, swimming etc. We love watching new pieces of who you are become more real to us every day.   I cherish your hugs and kisses, and our snuggle time.  We love and adore you so much. We are looking forward to what the next few months have to bring.
