My cousin Shelley and her husband Rob took their anniversary trip there a couple of years ago and recommended it to us because they loved it so much. We decided to invite our good friends Ben and Laura Deming to go with us. They were also celebrating their anniversary that same week.
Phillip's parents came for the week to stay with Brody. This was the first time that I had ever left him for more than one night. Several months before the trip I typed out a three page list of instructions, phone numbers, emergency numbers etc. for his parents. This actually helped me feel better about leaving him. I always knew he was in good hands but the hardest part was giving up the control. I had been with him every day for the past year and it gave me a lot of anxiety thinking of all the things that I felt like his parents needed to know about taking care of him. Once I gave them those instructions that helped ease my mind so much! It was very hard, but once we got on the plane in Nashville I felt free and so excited!
We left Nashville and flew to Miami on Monday morning September the 5th, and then flew from Miami into Cancun!!
Once we arrived at the resort, we were greeted with glasses of champagne and cool wash clothes! The weather was awesome! It was hot and sunny! Our first impression of the resort was it was so nice and beautiful! We were thrilled to be there!

Tuesday morning Phillip and I woke up early and walked around the resort checking everything out!

The night we ate at the sushi restaurant was such a fun night. The sushi was some of the best I had ever had! We had a great night!
One day we took an all day snorkeling excursion. We snorkeled in a cave, in the ocean, and in a small body of fresh water. We had a great day!
Ben was obsessed with picking coconuts off the tress and eating them and drinking out of them!

The pool at the resort was awesome! The whole week we had beautiful weather except for one day it rained but not for very long.

I didn't care for the dish that I had at the Indonesian place so afterward Laura and I went back to the sushi restaurant. I had to take a picture of Aldo! He was the best sushi maker! I think he thought Laura and I were crazy!

Our last night in Mexico we ate at the Italian restaurant. We were celebrating the Deming's anniversary!
We bought Phillip's parents a bowl for a gift to say thank you for keeping Brody all week! We also bought Brody some maracas!
The last day Phillip and I walked the beach, went swimming and hung out until we took the shuttle to the airport at noon.
Overall we had a fabulous trip! It was so relaxing and fun! We were so thankful to Phillip's parents for keeping Brody all week, we know that he had a great time with them. We loved being away for the week but enjoyed coming home to our little man!
