In October we drove to Waco to spend a few days at home. We had a great visit, saw a lot of dear friends and family. On our way to Waco, we stopped in Dallas and visited with Mimi and Papa Martin. They enjoyed getting to visit with Brody, and Papa even got on the floor and wrestled with him. It was great getting to be with them. Jamie and Cal came in town for the weekend, and it was just so good to be together as a family.
Once we got to Waco, Brody enjoyed taking many rides around Mom and Dad's land on the the riding lawn mower with Poppy. He just loves being there, Mom has a ton of toys for him to play with, and it's so nice having wide open spaces for him to run around on.
One day we took Brody to the Waco zoo. We had a great time, he loved all the animals and his favorite was the clear slide by the sea otters.

One of my favorite visits was with my longtime friend Emily and our old basketball coach and one of my mentors, Coach K. She had never met Brody or Maddy so that was fun to introduce them to her.
We also got to visit with our good friend's Lauren Satterfield and her boys. Brody really enjoyed getting to play with Jack. Lauren has been such a good friend to me for so many years, it's always good to get together when we are in town.
We were thankful to get to see everyone and
