Brody 14-15 Months

Brody turned 14 months old on October 26th and 15 months on November 26th. During this transition from 14-15 months a lot has changed around our house.
-He has his top and bottom molars.
- He now has 12 teeth.
- He got his very first haircut in October and hated every minute of it.
- Brody can make sounds of certain animals like a monkey, cow, and an elephant.
- He loves giving hugs and open mouth slobbery kisses( which are the best ever).
- His favorite foods include Greek yogurt, cheese, any kind of bread, lunch meat, cookies, bananas, grapes, corn, chicken, green beans, peas, and any kind of pasta.
- He wears size 18 month clothes, size 4 diaper, size 6 shoe ( almost 7),  and weighs 25-26 pounds.
- Brody is now down to one nap a day, his afternoon nap which usually lasts 2 hours if I am lucky.  He has been only sleeping an hour to an hour and a half as of lately. He still is a 12 hour sleeper, going to bed at 7 and waking up between 7 and 8. He now sleeps with a lovie and a blanket.
-He rarely stops moving and is super active.
- His latest favorite TV show that I DVR is Sesame Street. He loves Elmo!
- He can give high fives, and is starting to bite ( we are working on that) sometimes on purpose when he gets mad and sometimes just being playful.
- He has a very sweet, happy personality but also has a strong personality when making his opinions known about the way he wants certain things to be.  :)
- He also is going through a stage where he tests me a lot. I tell him not to do something and he will try and over and over again to see how serious I am about enforcing discipline. Sometimes it can be exhausting, but I know that working hard at giving him boundaries now will pay off later.
- Brody has starting saying hi and bye. He loves waving to people when we leave places. Everywhere we go he loves to smile at people and talk to them, he rarely meets a stranger.
-His favorite toys are push toys, measuring cups and other kitchen tools, he enjoys pretending like he is cooking, Fisher Price Little People Farm, any instruments,
- He loves to be a helper around the house. Whenever I am cooking I will get out a bowl, spoon, and measuring cups and he pretends like he is cooking too. When I am sweeping the kitchen floor, he loves to come grab it and try to sweep too.
- Brody likes to watch his Daddy do ANYTHING. He is fascinated when he uses tools to do something. Phillip was recently hanging a clock on the wall and Brody wanted to try and use the hammer like his daddy did. It was so sweet!
- A couple of weeks before Thanksgiving Brody started to walk more than just a few steps. Slowly but surely he walked more and more, at the beginning of December he started doing it full time.

These were a few pictures taken in October at Halloween. These are pre haircut.

Happy Halloween from Brody the giraffe!

He still loves to read his books.

He is very independent and wants to hold the spoon himself.

One of his favorite things to do!

Ride em cowboy!

Brody and his pals from the neighborhood. L t R Brody, Gavin, and Hudson. They are all only a few months apart in age. Brody is the oldest at 15 months, followed by Hudson who is 12 months, and Gavin is 9 months.

In October Phillip's parents, Big Daddy and Mimma came to visit.

We went to Supercuts ( I had an $8 coupon) to get his first haircut. Needless to say he was quite apprehensive. He had several cameras taking pictures, and I think felt very overwhelmed and scared. He cried most of the time.

A look of horror, "don't let them cut my locks daddy!"

Me trying not to laugh at him as he was crying getting his haircut.

First distraction, a book which didn't work.

Then the crying got worse. The whole experience was getting awkward.

Now my heart was breaking for my little guy, and I was thinking " hurry up and cut his hair." :)

Finally, all done!

He loves his Big Daddy and Mimma!

Overall, Brody has changed a lot from 14-15 months. I feel like he is now growing more more into a little boy. He gets more independent every day, more expressive, and his communication skills increase all the time. His little personality comes through more and more all the time. We are so in love with this little guy and are really enjoying watching him grow up. We are excited to see what the next month has in store for us!
